Chris walked out of the hotel into the damp autumn air. Though it was the middle of the night, cars whizzed by on the freeway. The cheery neon of the fast-food joints and hotel chains lining the service road made the darkness of the night an illusion. |

He had to get away from her. She would drive him crazy. His body ached with unfulfilled need, and he was more on edge than he could ever remember being in his life. |
